Brothers St. and Mr. S. own the business.

  ō      Whatís the kind of the business?

Sells of tobacco and  haberdashery.
ō       Whatís the history of the businessís

It was created before 10 years from 2 partners Kostas and John. The first 5 years they were working but now the business has 2 employees and they are occupied by that businessís management.
ō      How many people are occupied?
Mainly 2 employees but a third also when the first two have break.
ō      What is the kind of work of people occupied?
They are sellers.
ō      Whatís the percent of women working and whatís their jobís kind?
100% in sells.
ō      Do you like your job? Why?
I like my job because it is not tiring. I may work in such a small place but I also contact many people. However, the most important reason I like it, is the relationship among the people I am paid from and me. That is the most satisfying behavior which makes you to want the job.

Has the business profits?
It has quite many profits for this kind and this area.  While it is not in a central position which is very important.
ō      Does the business have perspectives?
I donít think that this kind of business has perspectives.
ō      Are you  checked ?
Yes we are checked continuously for our products.

Is there any season which brings more  profits ?
Yes summer has more profits than winter.
ō      Are you satisfied by the profits  ?
I am an employee so I can not have a point of view. Brothers St. and Mr. S. own the business.

The 95% is owned by Mr. F. F. and the other 5% by Mr. M. F. (Mother)

What is the kind of   the business?
Pastry making and bread-making workshop.
ō     
How many staff is occupied?
5 people, while 3 of them are sellers and the other 2 are helping in the workshop.
ō      Are they satisfied with their work?
The 50% of them are satisfied.
ō      Does the business have perspectives?
It has, but it is a special section very competitive and we have to be ready for everything. We also have to do new things so as the citizens prefer us.

Does the business have profits?
Yes it has especially during the summer season.
ō     
How do you deal clients?
We deal them as our friends and not clients. Although we have sometimes complaints from them, we try to become better and please them.  As known, clients are always right.

What is the history of the business?
It is a family business. It started from Mr. V. F.  (Husband) and for tax reasons Mrs. M. F. took the business.  Now the 95% is owned by Mr. F. F.
ō      What does this job need
We have to wake up
at 5  in the morning and in season like summer, Christmas and Easter we may work for 17 hours.
ō     
What does the owner do for his job?
He tries to be competitive and to do new things. He is daily helping with the progress of work and he is the only person to work in the pastry-making section.
Moreover hi always tries to make his products differ. He has studied in an American college and he speaks English and Italics. Also he has written a Tourist guide for Ziria, an area near our town.

This business belongs to T. A. Itís a family business and two people work in it{the owner and an employee}. These two persons cover all the works in the business. Of course they like their job witch they do because they are keeping touch with people. The business is too lucrative and it has prospects whether they canít easily materialize. The most profitable season is September because the schools open. The owner is pleased of the incomes-expenses of the business. The middle age of the workers is thirty-five years old. The owner told us that there are also some checkings from TAX OFFICE and from WORKíS INSPECTION.

4. Interview from a burial rites office's owner

The owner of the business is Mr. G.R. and it is a family business. It was established 22 years ago and only one person is occupied witch is the driver of the hearse. The only woman in the business is Mr. R.ís wife. It is a very difficult job but you can get used to it. Many people have preconceived ideas about my job.

Mr. R. has started the business himself. Unfortunately the business has a future. The owner of the business claims that new employees do not adopt to the work conditions and after a short time they quit. But there are some who do adopt but need sufficient time.

   5.    Interview from the owner of a cafeteria

    

 This business belongs to Mr. G. Z. The kind of the business which characterizes it is Atomic. It has been built before 4 years and easy-easy goes better. At this cafť, this season work 4 people but there are periods which work more than four. The workers are only women who. The girls who work there like their job, but sometimes the owner isnít happy with them. From this business its owner takes a lot of money. The future of the business seams very good.

The competition causes a little problem. More customers appear during summer. He can include many other activities in this business but he things that there are enough. (Cafť bar, live music, etc.). The owner wants from the people who want to work there ask for papers in law and   having worked some years before.

7. An Interview from the owner of a coffee house Ė grill house

 

The business belongs to Mr C.K. and it is an atomic one. It was established 30 gears ago and it used to work as a coffee house in the morning and as a grill house in the evenings until today. It is the oldest business of all in this kind.

The owner established this business because he was working in a same one since he was 10 years old and he liked the idea. Itís family helped him a lot to built the hole business. Also the business was planned by his family and fiancť who helped him continuously. 

The owner works by instinct but because of experience he doesnít do mistake very often.

To grow his business, he works hard with respect to clients.

There are four people occupied in this business and two of them are women Ė waitresses. The other are the roaster man and his helper.

The secret for success is the quality, good service and good behavior. The problems that employees come against tiredness and

There are dangers threaten for   the business, as it is a job who needs stamina which after a time finishes.

8. INTERVIEW FROM THE OWNER OF  A DANCE SCHOOL

The business is owned by Mrs. C.V. The kind of the business is school for ballet and modern dance. The people working are from 25 to 45 years old and the students are from 5 to 18 years old. The people working on the business are 3 and are all women teaching dance and move. To work in the business school somebody needs a certificate of a specialized university. The owner likes her job because it is a hobby too. Also the business has profits and fortunately there are no checks. The best seasons are autumn and spring. Finally, the owner expects from the employees to have expertise, morals and to be consistent.

9.  INTERVIEW FROM THE OWNER OF A DVD SHOP

NAME OF THE ENTERPRISE : Cinemania

The enterprise belongs to G. G. The type of the enterprise is ranting DVD. The owner is 35 years old and there arenít other people whose work in the enterprise. To deal somebody with the enterprise should know how to use a computer. It doesnít need more than one specialty to deal somebody with the enterprise and there arenít any women in this enterprise. The owner isnít very satisfied of his work because the enterprise hasnít very bearing income and there arenít any perspectives to step the enterprise. In the winter there is more motion. The owner isnít satisfied of the expenses and the incomes of his enterprise.

10. INTERVIEW FROM THE OWNER OF A FLOWER SHOP

NAME OF ENTERPRISE: Mega Flora
The enterprise belongs to S. P. The type of enterprise is selling flowers. The enterprise was created by Stavroula Papageorgiou five years ago. There arenít other people who work in this enterprise. Everyone can deal with this enterprise, if he has creativity and imagination. The owner is satisfied of his work because she likes a job like this and she loves flowers. The enterprise has bearing income. There are perspectives to step the enterprise but itís very difficult. In Christmas, in Easter and in summer there is more motion.

The owner is satisfied of the expenses and the incomes of her enterprise.

11. INTERVIEW FROM THE OWNER OF A HOTEL

THE INTERVIEW AND THE TRANSLATION DID:

This business belongs to P.V. Itís a family business and four people work in this hotel. They are: a maid, a receptionist, the owner and her husband. The occupation is an accountant, a maid and a receptionist at the holidays and at the weekends. The administrative assistant and partners are a hydraulic and an electrician. The percentage of the women that is working in the hotel is 50%. They are: a cleaner, a receptionist and the owner. The business for the workers is very pleasant because they are keeping touch with people. There is of course a lot of weariness as they sometimes work twenty hours a day. The owner said that this business is never profitable. Income is used for continual investment. The most profitable season isnít necessary summer. For example, in August of 2006 the hotel was almost empty whereas in September it was full because some workers were leaving in the hotel for the construction of a big super market. The owner told us that the weather conditions have effect on the operation of the business, since the cold weather attracts more people because of Xylokastroís mountainous area, Trikala, but the operation of the hotel, too. The owner supported that the incomes arenít enough because we have many obligations of the business. For example the paying of loans in the banks. There are also some checking for the safety of the building every five years and they demand to complete the works in a limit chronicle period. The middle age of the workers is forty one years.

 

 

 12.      INTERVIEW  ABOUT  LAWYERíS OFFICE

This office belongs to D. P. It is opened since 2001 and the owner has opened this without any help. The reasons he decided to open this office were:

 1) because he likes this job

 2) because he wanted to earn money from this work.

 With the economics of this job is occupied his father.  The owner has done studies to work at this office. At his family there isnít anyone else who done this work before, so he could make an office by himself. The way in which he develops his job is to work hard. He uses New Technologies, especially Internet. Mr P. belongs to LAWYERSí SOCIETY OF KORINTHOS. He said that there arenít any dangers for the future. There arenít  any assistants in this office as Mr P. told as. Finally Mr P. said that the secret of the success is to work hard.

This business belongs to A. F. Itís a family one and fourteen people work in it. They are distributor and assistants. The   women who work in this business is the 50% and they work as assistants. This business is very pleasant for the workers because they are keeping touch with people every day. This business is profitable and there are prospects. There are also some checkingís. The most profitable season is summer. The owner demands of his working people courtesy to the customers and strict inspection at the produce.

14. Interview from the owner of a Pharmacy

 This business belongs to Mrs A. K. The kind of the business which characterizes it is Atomic. This business has been built before 10 years and until now its owner is very happy with it. There work there 3 ( three) people. The kind of the job that the  women have there is: assistant of pharmacist and cosmetician. The women who work there are the100% of the workers, because they  smile more than men and they know better their work. The people who work in the pharmacy are very happy with their work and the owner with them too. Its future isnít so good. The competition makes a little problem to this business. The season which we can see more customers is in summer (July- September). The that the owner wants from the people who work there is to give the maximum of their possibility, not to make mistakes and good service.

   This business belongs to Miss K. F. The kind which characterizes it is atomic. It has been found before 7 years and until now its owner is very happy with this. At this business works only her. There doesnít work any businessman/ woman. The kind of her work is to sell things which her business has. Her work makes her very happy. From this work she takes a lot of money. This business has a very good future. There is enough competition however the business doesnít have any problem. At this business we ca see more customers in summer, to face the competition she decorate with balloons parties and churches for christenings.
