They are sellers.

I like my job because it is not tiring. I may work in such a small place but I
also contact many people. However, the most important reason I like it, is the
relationship among the people I am paid from and me. That is the most satisfying
behavior which makes you to want the job.

It has quite many
profits for this kind and this area. While
it is not in a central position which is very important.

I don’t think that
this kind of business has perspectives.

Pastry making and bread-making workshop.

them are sellers and the other 2 are helping in the workshop.

The 50% of them are satisfied.

Does the business have perspectives?
It has, but it is a special section very competitive and we have to be ready for
everything. We also have to do new things so as the citizens prefer us.

Yes it has especially
during the summer season.

How do you deal clients?
We deal them as our friends and not clients. Although we have sometimes
complaints from them, we try to become better and please them.
As known, clients are always right.

It is a family
business. It started from Mr. V. F. (Husband)
and for tax reasons Mrs. M. F. took the business.
Now the 95% is owned by Mr. F. F.

He tries to be competitive and to do new things. He is daily helping with the
progress of work and he is the only person to work in the pastry-making section.

This business belongs to T. A. It’s a family business and two people work in it{the owner and an employee}. These two persons cover all the works in the business. Of course they like their job witch they do because they are keeping touch with people. The business is too lucrative and it has prospects whether they can’t easily materialize. The most profitable season is September because the schools open. The owner is pleased of the incomes-expenses of the business. The middle age of the workers is thirty-five years old. The owner told us that there are also some checkings from TAX OFFICE and from WORK’S INSPECTION.

The
owner of the business is Mr. G.R. and it is a family business. It was
established 22 years ago and only one person is occupied witch is the driver of
the hearse. The only woman in the business is Mr. R.’s wife. It is a very
difficult job but you can get used to it. Many people have preconceived ideas
about my job.
Mr.
R. has started the business himself. Unfortunately the business has a future.
The owner of the business claims that new employees do not adopt to the work
conditions and after a short time they quit. But there are some who do adopt but
need sufficient time.

from the owner of a cafeteria
This
business belongs to Mr. G.
Z. The kind of the business which characterizes it is Atomic. It has been built
before 4 years and easy-easy goes better. At this café, this season work 4
people but there are periods which work more than four. The workers are only
women who. The girls who work there like their job, but sometimes the owner
isn’t happy with them. From this business its owner takes a lot of money. The
future of the business seams very good.
The competition causes a little problem. More customers appear during summer. He can include many other activities in this business but he things that there are enough. (Café bar, live music, etc.). The owner wants from the people who want to work there ask for papers in law and having worked some years before.

An Interview from
the
owner of a coffee
house – grill house
The business belongs to
Mr C.K. and it is an atomic one. It was established 30 gears ago and it used to
work as a coffee house in the morning and as a grill house in the evenings until
today. It is the oldest business of all in this kind.
The
owner established this business because he was working in a same one since he
was 10 years old and he liked the idea. It’s family helped him a lot to built
the hole business. Also the business was planned by his family and fiancé who
helped him continuously.
The owner works by
instinct but because of experience he doesn’t do mistake very often.
To grow his business,
he works hard with respect to clients.
There are four people
occupied in this business and two of them are women – waitresses. The other
are the roaster man and his helper.
The secret for success
is the quality, good service and good behavior. The problems that employees come
against tiredness and
There are dangers
threaten for the business, as
it is a job who needs stamina which after a time finishes.

is 35 years old and there aren’t other people whose work in the enterprise. To
deal somebody with the enterprise should know how to use a computer. It
doesn’t need more than one specialty to deal somebody with the enterprise and
there aren’t any women in this enterprise. The owner isn’t very satisfied of
his work because the enterprise hasn’t very bearing income and there aren’t
any perspectives to step the enterprise. In the winter there is more motion. The
owner isn’t satisfied of the expenses and the incomes of his enterprise.

The enterprise belongs to S. P. The type of enterprise is selling
flowers. The enterprise was created by Stavroula Papageorgiou five years ago.
There aren’t other people who work in this enterprise. Everyone can deal with
this enterprise, if he has creativity and imagination. The owner is satisfied of
his work because she likes a job like this and she loves flowers. The enterprise
has bearing income. There are perspectives to step the enterprise but it’s
very difficult. In Christmas, in Easter and in summer there is more motion.
The
owner is satisfied of the expenses and the incomes of her enterprise.

INTERVIEW FROM THE OWNER OF A HOTEL
THE

This
business belongs to P.V. It’s a family business and four
people work in this hotel. They are: a maid, a receptionist, the owner and her
husband. The occupation is an accountant, a maid and a receptionist at the
holidays and at the weekends. The administrative assistant and partners are a
hydraulic and an electrician. The percentage of the women that is working in the
hotel is 50%. They are: a cleaner, a receptionist and the owner. The business
for the workers is very pleasant because they are keeping touch with people.
There is of course a lot of weariness as they sometimes work twenty hours a day.
The owner said that this business is never profitable. Income is used for
continual investment. The most profitable season isn’t necessary summer. For
example, in August of 2006 the hotel was almost empty whereas in September it
was full because some workers were leaving in the hotel for the construction of
a big super market. The owner told us that the weather conditions have effect on
the operation of the business, since the cold weather attracts more people
because of Xylokastro’s mountainous area, Trikala, but the operation of the
hotel, too. The owner supported that the incomes aren’t enough because we have
many obligations of the business. For example the paying of loans in the banks.
There are also some checking for the safety of the building every five years and
they demand to complete the works in a limit chronicle period. The middle age of
the workers is forty one years.

INTERVIEW ABOUT LAWYER’S
OFFICE
This
office belongs to D. P. It is opened since 2001 and the
owner has opened this without any help. The reasons he decided to open this
office were:

because he likes this job
2)
because he wanted to earn money from this work.
With
the economics of this job is occupied his father.
The owner has done studies to work at this office. At his family there
isn’t anyone else who done this work before, so he could make an office by
himself. The way in which he develops his job is to work hard. He uses New
Technologies, especially Internet. Mr P. belongs to LAWYERS’ SOCIETY OF
KORINTHOS. He said that there aren’t any dangers for the future. There
aren’t any assistants in this
office as Mr P. told as. Finally Mr P. said that the secret of the success is to
work hard.

The most profitable season is summer. The owner demands of his working people courtesy to the customers and strict inspection at the produce.

This business belongs to Mrs A. K. The kind of the business which characterizes it is Atomic. This business has been built before 10 years and until now its owner is very happy with it. There work there 3 ( three) people. The kind of the job that the women have there is: assistant of pharmacist and cosmetician. The women who work there are the100% of the workers, because they smile more than men and they know better their work. The people who work in the pharmacy are very happy with their work and the owner with them too. Its future isn’t so good. The competition makes a little problem to this business. The season which we can see more customers is in summer (July- September). The that the owner wants from the people who work there is to give the maximum of their possibility, not to make mistakes and good service.

been found before 7 years and until now its owner is very happy with this. At
this business works only her. There doesn’t work any businessman/ woman. The
kind of her work is to sell things which her business has. Her work makes her
very happy. From this work she takes a lot of money. This business has a very
good future. There is enough competition however the business doesn’t have any
problem. At this business we ca see more customers in summer, to face the
competition she decorate with
