FACTORS
THAT INFLUENCE THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WAGE
(WAGE
GAP) BETWEEN MEN AND WOMEN
1.
The CSE (Centre for Subjects of Equality) processed a research of
National Statistical Service of Greece and it led to the conclusion that the gap
between the wage of men and
women is owed
2.
To the employment with regard to the professions and the sectors that are
not same for the men and the women. It
is considered that is to say that also the two sexes do not have the suitable
dexterities for all the professions.
3.
To the women who select in the school directions and sciences proportional with the
traditional characteristics of their sex during their education.
4.
To the discriminations in the wage that make the employers, which believe
that the woman does not offer work of the same value with the men.
5.
To
the little labour experience and previous experience that the
women have in their last work. A lot of women interrupt their professional
career in order to care their children, because they do not have elsewhere to
entrust them. With these interruptions however goes slowly remain their
professional development and they haven’t promotion and continuing training on
issues of their profession.
