FEMININE EMPLOYMENT
With
regard to the feminine employment in
Greece
, the European Union, using the report of European Committee about the
equality between men and women in 2004, says that
Greece
with
Italy
and
Spain
is a negative example of countries for the feminine employment. This is
a result which comes out of the rates of employment that are for the women under
the 50%. It should be overwhelmed big effort in order to achieves the objective
of
Lisbon
that is 60% up to 2010. Indeed, while in the five-year period 1999-2003
the employment was increased at 3,3 units and went to the 44%, it is still very
low, as the mean in the European Union is 55,6%. There is one more problem, that
the increase in the percentage of employment does not keep pace with improvement
of equality between the sexes. For example to be improved the problem of
unemployment or the difference in the wage.
